Phil Jay Director
Phil Jay has been in the specialist mortgage sector for 18 years, having worked for a mutual Building Society for a further 10 years. Phil joined Ian Nelson at BDS back in 1996 when packagers were beginning to make a mark in the intermediary sector. Starting out with a small group of local brokers Phil grew the business year on year which, at the peak of the market, employed 80 staff and represented over 30 lenders. Phil and BDS achieved a number accolades including ‘Best Mortgage Packager’ at Mortgage Strategy and ‘Best Business Leader’ at Mortgage Solutions.
In October 2004 BDS became a mortgage network and generated a strong brand of tied distribution which enabled the business to generate good profits and acquire quality staff in the sales, administration and compliance departments. BDS was able to offer a quality service which attracted loyal and quality brokers.
In 2007 Phil was instrumental in selling BDS to the Skipton Group which complimented their growth strategy and aligned it’s business to Pink Homeloans.
In 2010 the mortgage market continued to be greatly depressed, Phil joined forces with Tony Salentino to grow and improve the great reputation of Complete. Since joining Tony the business has had an excellent growth spurt and more staff have been appointed which has enabled Complete to offer an excellent broker focussed proposition.
Phil is a hands-on businessman who leads by example, ensuring the service given is always first class with honesty and integrity at the centre. Phil loves his sport and manages to still dash around a squash court. Phil is married to a fellow Southampton FC fan which makes Saturdays fun as they disappear together to St Mary’s to watch their beloved Saints.

Damian Cain Director
Damian re-joined Complete in December 2015 having been a Director from 1993 to 2008. He began his financial service career in 1984 working for a US money shop where he quickly became the firms youngest UK branch manager. Never one to miss an opportunity Damian saw the potential of the fledgling packager market of the early 1990s and formed Complete Mortgage & Loan Services in 1993.
Damian’s outside interests include being a long term season ticket holder at Southampton Football Club, being a member of Hockley Golf Club, and regular walks out in the nearby New Forest with his wife and cockapoo Harry, whilst of course accidentally finding the occasional pub for lunch.
Damian’s return highlights the Complete’s commitment to continued growth, whilst maintaining market leading service for its introducers and lender partners.

Claire Budden Director
Claire joined the Complete board as a director in Jan 2024 having re-joined the company as Associate Director of Operations in 2017. She also worked for Complete as Office Manager between 2005 and 2010.
Between 2010 to 2017 Claire was a key member of the management team within another financial services firm, gaining significant management and leadership skills over this period.
She brings with her a wealth of financial services experience having now been in the industry for 25 years.
She has proven ability in the implementation of new departments, the merger of existing companies and the retraining of staff against new goals in line with new company structures.
Claire is a hands-on manager who leads by example ensuring that service is at the heart of everything that she does.
Outside of work Claire can regularly be found at St Mary’s Stadium supporting her beloved football team, Southampton FC. She enjoys socialising with friends and spending time with her nephews and niece.

Jo White Team Leader – Processing
Jo joined Complete FS in September 2004 at which time she predominately dealt with Secured Loans. She began her career in financial services in 2000 with the Woolwich as a mandated underwriter with a £500,000 limit. Prior to this she was Company Secretary for her husband’s building company. Outside of work Jo likes socialising with friends and the odd glass or two of vino!! She also enjoys horse racing particularly her annual visits to Glorious Goodwood. Jo loves long walks with her 2 dogs Lenny and Bear who keep her very busy now the kids are all leaving home!DDI: 023 8045 0506

Becky Odams Senior Case Manager

Becky is our newest member of the residential team joining Complete in January 2018.
Becky has been in the financial services industry for 11 years having started her career in Estate Agency before moving onto to a financial services firm in 2012. She has spent the last six years working for a local award-winning UK advisory business dealing with pensions, mortgages and insurances and brings with her a wealth of experience and a brokers perspective having sat on the other side of the fence.
Before her career in financial services Becky completed her degree at Winchester University. Becky has a 14 year old daughter who keeps her well and truly on her toes. And completing her household is her Irish Jack Russell that hates any form of exercise and would rather spend his time sleeping! In her spare time Becky loves to spend time socialising with her family and friends and girly days out with her daughter.

Sami Miselbrook Senior Case Manager
Sami joined Complete FS in 2014 as part of our Apprenticeship scheme and now is an integral member of our Residential department. Prior to this she spent 2 years in retail as a sales assistant for a well know fashion house and is a qualified beautician training at Bournemouth and Poole college. Helen MacNamara Senior Case Manager
Helen joined the team in July 2018 as a Case Manager. She has been working in the financial sector since 2002. After 16 years with the Nationwide Building Society in numerous roles she decided it was time for a change. She has always been interested and involved in the mortgage process and knew that she wanted to remain in the Financial Services Industry especially helping clients through the home purchase process and welcomed the opportunity to work at Complete.
In her free time she is an avid video gamer and enjoys going to the cinema or reading a good book. Her most unusual achievement was receiving her US High School diploma.

Helen Kitchen Senior Case Manager
Helen joined Complete FS in May 2017, as a Case Manager, but has been in the financial services industry since leaving school in 1986. Helen started her career at Natwest, working her way up from a Grade 1 entrant to Chief Cashier, working in various branches in & around the Southampton area. After her two sons went to senior school Helen couldn’t wait to get back to what she knew best & started working for Chelsea Building Society which was then taken over by Yorkshire Building Society. At Yorkshire Helen was a Customer Consultant dealing with all aspects of customer service. After showing an interest in the mortgage side of the business she became a ‘A Mortgage Buddy’ for the branch Mortgage advisors, dealing with checking and submitting cases on behalf of the adviser. Earlier this year Helen then saw, what she describes as her perfect job, the advertisement for the Case Manager position at Complete FS and decided to move on from her role at Yorkshire. In her spare time Helen loves reading books, socialising with friends and enjoying a glass of wine or two! Katie Ware Case Manager
Sean Latchem Senior Business Support Manager
Sean joined Complete FS in September 2018 as the Business Support Manager. Whilst Sean is new to this sector he is certainly not a novice when it comes to giving excellent service. Spending two years as a Service Manager in the retail sector he prides himself on his excellent service, problem solving skills and his resilience. In Sean’s spare time he enjoys travelling, his destination so far include places such as New York, Rome, Barcelona and Toronto with plans to expand his destinations when he can. He is also a loyal Tottenham Hotspur fan enjoying watching them play whenever he can despite their ability to often ‘bottle it’! Dean Preston Team Leader – Enquiries
Dean joined Complete FS in September 2009, having started his career in financial services with BDS Mortgage Group back in 2004. Outside of work Dean plays cricket and five a side football, he supports Portsmouth FC, as he says they are the better team. Well, certainly better than Gosport Town. Dean became a very proud father in July 2020 to a baby boy. Well done Dean. Martin Ward Senior Case Manager
Bob Hope Senior Business Development Consultant
Bob joined Complete FS in 2013 having previously worked for BDS, MGM Finance & other Life Insurance companies. Over this time he’s been involved in many roles from being head of training for a large life office, director of a successful mortgage firm to running a very successful mortgage firm, now utilising these skills in increasing business volumes for Complete FS and specialising in the commercial and bridging arena. Emma Page Deputy Team Leader – Processing
Emma joined the Bridging and Commercial Team Complete FS in October 2016 as a Trainee Underwriter. Whilst Emma is new to mortgages, she is certainly not a novice when it comes to property, having previously worked in Estate Agency as a Property Consultant. Emma has quickly absorbed the complexities of bridging and commercial processing and no doubt will continue to develop her knowledge of the mortgage industry in all areas. Emma is an avid Manchester United fan travelling to their home matches whenever possible and religiously watching when she can’t get there. She has a husband and Jack Russell Terrier, both of which are Tottenham fans!! Emma also enjoys watching films and travelling, destinations so far include Las Vegas, Iceland, Bulgaria, Spain and this year, Mexico.DDI: 023 8045 0171

Jack Gulyas
Harry Raymond Case Manager

Harry started college in 2013 and studied Uniformed Services for 3 years. Whilst studying he worked part-time in retail to finance his away days with Newcastle United FC.
Having finished his studies, Harry wanted to find a long-term position with the opportunity for career progression and joined Complete in April 2017 through an Apprenticeship scheme.
In his spare time Harry follows his beloved Newcastle United up and down the country. When he isn’t watching football he is playing football for two different teams (Harry used to play at county level but had to stop due to work commitments). And when he isn’t kicking a ball around Harry enjoys socialising with friends.

Andy Ingram Mortgage Adviser
Andy joined Complete in June 2015 and is a vital part of the Enquiries team having been a member of mortgage retention team for LSL Financial services, successfully working to retain customers for their 3 brands of Your Move, Reeds Rains and Embrace. Working within financial services since leaving college Andy has held front line roles in personal banking for both Nat West and Santander as well as working for Abbey for Intermediaries helping with enquiries and sales support. Outside work Andy enjoys spending time with his children and new wife as well as following Southampton Football Club, watching as many games as he can.
